Stocks in the Asia Pacific region fell on Monday.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Tech index fell nearly 2 percent on Monday, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell 0.72 percent as major indexes in the Asia Pacific fell.
Hong Kong shares of Chinese companies traded in the US also fell on Monday. Nio fell 6.86 percent, XPeng 7.07 percent, and Alibaba 1.76%.
The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.28 percent, and the Shenzhen Component fell 0.36 percent. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 lost 0.73 percent, and the Topix index fell 0.66 percent. In South Korea, Kospi supported the upward trend of 0.37 percent, while Kosdaq lost 0.24 percent. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 index fell 0.1 percent. MSCI’s largest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan fell 0.44 percent.
