US President Joe Biden has approved a new $700 million military aid package to Ukraine, including advanced missile systems.
In his written statement, Biden stated that Ukraine is fighting a “brave” struggle against Russia and that the defense support of the United States to this country will continue.
“I am announcing the new military aid package to ensure timely and critical assistance, ” Biden said. Stating that weapons support to Ukraine continues within the scope of the aid package approved by the US Congress, Biden said, “This new aid package includes advanced weapons that will help Ukraine to defend itself against Russia, which is the missile system called High-Performance Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS).”
In the decree signed by Biden, it was stated that the aid package for Ukraine was worth 700 million dollars.
