Asia-Pacific markets rose on Tuesday as investors awaited the US’s August inflation report.
The Nikkei 225 rose 0.29 percent in Japan, and the Topix index rose 0.27 percent. In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.38 percent.
South Korea’s Kospi rose 2.14% on Monday’s return to trading after the holiday, and the Kosdaq rose 2.09%.
Mainland China’s Shanghai Composite rose 0.23 percent, while Shenzhen Component gained 0.516 percent.
MSCI’s most extensive index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan gained 0.51 percent.
