The US administration announced that they will provide 1 million barrels daily from oil reserves to lower gasoline prices.
In a statement from the White House, it was stated that Americans are facing rising gasoline prices.
Pointing out that gasoline prices have increased by about 1 dollar per gallon since Russian President Vladimir Putin attacked Ukraine. Due to the war oil supply decreased, and prices rose.
It was stated that US President Joe Biden will announce a 2-stage plan for increasing gasoline prices, and the first stage of the plan is to increase supply. The USA will release an average of 1 million barrels of oil per day for the next six months, and this amount was recorded as the largest release of reserves in history.
On the other hand, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA) data, the average price of gasoline in the country increased by nearly 50 percent compared to last year. The average price of gas in the US reached $4.23 per gallon.
